The first web page of this trail is a curriculum map with standards, expectations and essential questions. This will be included with all the trails from now on - so you can see, this course is evolving, just like technology in education.
Ask questions often!
Happy Trails!
P.S. - we are skipping trail #8 remember - if you want to take it - it will be available after Thanksgiving.

Ask questions often! Happy Trails!
I will be looking at Trail #6 on Taskstream this week - so stay tuned.
Class Announcement for November 4, 2008 Part II of Trail #7 has been postponed until next week. I have been working on a re-design of the trail this past week and am not happy with what I have yet. This redesign is a result of student feedback from the Trail Notes. So, just like your vote, your thoughts after each trail are very important to me and to future students.
This does not mean that you will be required to do extra work this semester. What I will do is provide Trail #8 for you as an extra credit and will not require you to do it.
Please take this week to catch up on other classes or other areas of your life.
Part II will be released on 11/10/2008.
Class Announcement for October 20, 2008 Trail #7 is available.
Trail #7 is a Taskstream trail - but YOU ARE NOT TO GO TO TASKSTREAM and complete it on Taskstream. You are to follow my directions on my web site like you did for Trails 1 - 5.
I will tell you what to put on Taskstream next week. If you go to Taskstream and complete the AAT assignment, you still have to do the assignment on my web site - I will not count the AAT assignment on Taskstream.
- Trail #7 is a two week trail broken into two parts
- The first part is available now
- Follow all the directions and I will give you access to the second part next week.
Deadline for Part I: November 3, 2008 by 11:59:59 PM Password: i4C8StGW Assessment: The Rubric for this trail will be given to at the start of Part II and will be available in your Google Docs Link to Trail: Trail #7
Class Announcement for October 20, 2008 Trail #6 is available.
Trail #6 is a Taskstream assignment. I did not write this assignment and so it does not follow my design format. You need to read this CAREFULLY: *If you are an English major or something other than El Ed or Ex Ed - English Ed majors, please email to get the password and link.
El Ed and Ex Ed majors - Please read the information below.
The college provides TaskStream free of charge for education students - you do NOT have to pay for your TaskStream account yourself. As a student, you will fall into one of three conditions. Read the following carefully and see which one applies to you: - PREVIOUS TASKSTREAM ACCOUNT that is EXPIRED! - You've previously had a TaskStream account, but it has expired. IN THIS CASE, YOU WILL RENEW YOUR ACCOUNT BY INPUTTING THIS CODE (CJSS2H-6Z8TJ4). DO THIS:
- Log onto TaskStream (http://www.taskstream.com)
- Click on the option for “Subscribe/Renew Today” (upper left); you want to click the “radio button” for “Renew my TaskStream subscription.”
- Then, under “Option 2," “Enter Your TaskStream Key Code,” which is: CJSS2H-6Z8TJ4.
- PREVIOUS TASKSTREAM ACCOUNT that is NOT EXPIRED- You signed up for your TaskStream account at the beginning of the Spring 2008 semester, using the code the college gave you. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR ANOTHER ACCOUNT AS THE ACCOUNT YOU ALREADY HAVE IS STILL ACTIVE!!
- NEW TASKSTREAM ACCOUNT - This is the first time you've signed up for TaskStream. DO THIS:
- Log onto TaskStream (http://www.taskstream.com)
- Click on the option for “Subscribe/Renew Today” (upper left); you want to click the “radio button” for “Create a new TaskStream subscription.”
- Then, under “Option 2," “Enter Your TaskStream Key Code,” which is: CJSS2H-6Z8TJ4.
- You will then have to provide some personal information. Don't lose your TaskStream username and password!!! For convenience, many students use their Buff State usernames and passwords.
IN ADDITION to getting and activating an account, you must “Enroll” in your program. THIS is specific to courses in the Department of Elementary Education and Reading (i.e., NOT courses in the Exceptional Education department - if you need their enrollment codes, you should contact them).
If you do not self-enroll, your current El Ed courses will not show up as options when you go to submit work. 99.9% percent of the problems students have with TaskStream are due to the fact that the students did not self-enroll!!
To enroll, you will need to insert a specific program code. The code (which is case-sensitive) is:
Undergraduate Elementary Education Program: eerenrollF08
